Welcome to Get Out Weather

I was inspired to create this app by fire pits. I've always loved a good fire pit, and in covid, we were doing them nearly every week when the weather was agreeable. This meant when a breeze would not be blowing smoke into someone's face, shifting around, and forcing everyone to shift around to avoid stinging eyes. Wind and the direction is often underplayed or buried in forecasts unless it's super windy when you migtht get a little wind icon. I wanted a "fire pit forecast."

Meanwhile, for over a decade, I had used the US National Weather Service 48 hr weather graph. I liked how this meteogram style forecast showed all the key factors I cared about, but I wanted to have a version of that style view that worked on my phone.

And so Get Out Weather was born. My goal today is to offer the best personalized weather experience ont the web with a weather "dashboard" you can arrange the way you want. Each page can be customized by selecting the ribbons (a week of info about temperature, tides, freezing height, winds, rain, snow, the moon phase, or many other ractors) that matter most. A page can show the weather for your current GPS location, or be tied to a specific location.
